We generally use a premium Basswood whe. 

Cedar in itself is low in density, which means it has a high thermal insulating value. In fact it has the best thermal insulating rating of most timbers and even exceeds most other building materials. This helps save on your heating and cooling bills. This low density also helps to dampen noise and vibration. Ideal for areas affected by noisy traffic.

Western Red Cedar is durable so it is suited to weather exposure. It has very low shrinkage factor and therefore resists the forces that create warping, twisting and cracking. And is perfect for bathrooms and large areas.

Western Red Cedar is mould and rot resistant due to the occurrence of natural oils within the timber, making it suitable for bathrooms and outdoor areas.
